Dashboards are a powerful tool designed to quickly and efficiently create summary views, allowing users to easily drag and drop items from the “Visuals” category.
Key Features:
Drag-and-Drop Functionality: Users can simply drag items like tables into empty slots within the dashboard layout. Once placed, the selected item (e.g., a table) will automatically render with its corresponding data.
Resizable Windows: After placing an item on the dashboard, you can adjust its window size to suit your layout needs. This flexibility allows you to add multiple components, creating customized dashboards tailored to your specific requirements.
Automatic Scaling: Dashboards automatically scale to match the device’s screen resolution, ensuring they remain responsive and consistent across various devices.
Additionally, users can drag and drop assets such as gauges and components into dashboards, with the option to assign tags for better organization.
A top toolbar can also be enabled, providing access to timeline settings. This allows users to adjust time spans, which any child graphs and tables will then inherit. When the time span is adjusted in the top menu, the child elements automatically adopt the updated settings.
The SIZE setting defines the resolution for which the dashboard is optimized. This setting can be modified in the “Appearance” section under “Dashboards,” where you can also change the number of columns displayed.
Default settings are:
- X LARGE: For resolutions above 1920px
- Large: For resolutions up to 1920px
- Medium: For resolutions up to 1200px
- Small: For resolutions up to 800px
