The chart editing tool allows you to customize individual “pen” properties (data series) within the graph, offering flexibility in how the data is displayed and presented.
Key Features:
Pen Type and Style: You can select the type of line for the data series, such as a smooth line, stacked line, or default line type. This allows the data to be visually distinct according to your needs.
Color Customization: Each pen can be assigned its own color for better visual distinction between different data sets. You can choose from preset colors or define custom color codes, as shown in the first screenshot.
Point Markers: Define the type of point marker (e.g., circles) to indicate where the value in the data series has changed. Point markers enhance the readability of the data and make it easier to spot value fluctuations.
Line Thickness and Pen Type: You can adjust the thickness of the pen line and change the style (e.g., solid or dashed), giving you more control over the appearance of your data.
Accessing Pen Settings:
To modify the pen settings, click on the pen itself within the chart (as shown in the second screenshot). This opens the settings menu (seen in the first screenshot), where you can change the line style, adjust the grouping of time-based data, and toggle additional options such as boundaries and aggregation (e.g., average).
This tool provides a comprehensive way to enhance how data is presented, making it more engaging and easier to analyze.
Once you click on the pen, it also displays more detailed information about the logged values – such as “▼ 0.00 ▲ 100.00 x̄ 49.80 Σ 4880.56 N 98“
